Jen Calonita is a writer of middle-grade and young adult books. While she's been writing ever since she can remember, in particular she notes that in fourth grade she put her following "three wishes" for a genie down on paper:
 
1.  To buy all the Cabbage Patch Kids in the world and give them away for free (a generous spirit!)
2.  To own a mansion, a limo, a lake house, a pool and a speed boat (sounds quite nice!).
3.  To be an author for young readers.
 
We can't speak for the first two, but the third goal, Jen's definitely achieved!

Jen loves writing novels for teens (and for savvy grown ups who know that YA rocks at any age) and connecting with her readers. Her first series was Secrets of My Hollywood Life which followed a teen star named Kaitlin Burke who struggled with the fame game. She's also written the stand-alone novels Sleepaway Girls, it's companion book, Summer State of Mind and The Belles series.

For middle grade readers, she's had so much fun writing the Fairy Tale Reform School series and, of course, the A Twisted Tale series, among others.
 
Jen can be found in New York with her husband, two boys and a feisty chihuahua named Ben Kenobi. When she isn’t writing, she can be found traveling or dreaming about visiting Disney Parks.
