Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo is the author of the acclaimed Six of Crows and The Grisha Trilogy. She was born in Jerusalem, grew up in Los Angeles, and graduated from Yale University with a major in English. Leigh has worked in advertising, journalism, and most recently, makeup and special effects. These days, she lives and writes in Hollywood where she can occasionally be heard singing with her band, Captain Automatic.

Author's Comment: I don’t like infallible heroes. And I don’t like eeevil villains. Spell evil with three e’s! I just don’t find them compelling and in my favorite books, there’s never this clear division between good and evil. And I think there’s a lot of questions that could be asked about what the best thing is for this country and what it’s going to mean to have a power vacuum there potentially. There’s a lot of big questions that I hope don’t have simple answers.
