Lindsay Buroker was born in Seattle, Washington. She has had many diverse jobs, including working as a lifeguard, a fast-food-flinger, a network administrator—and a soldier in the U.S. Army.  Between 2004 and 2011, she made her living as a blogger and affiliate marketer, working her own hours from home.

Rather than writing instructional material such as how to select a home security system or choose the right gym equipment, however, Lindsay’s desire was to write stories. In 2009, she decided to focus on finishing up some earlier novels she had started. After completing Emperor’s Edge, Lindsay was doubtful it was good enough to send off to an agent, so the novel sat on her computer hard drive for a year.

Then, in late 2010, Lindsay read a blog on self-publishing and decided to go that route. She has now written and e-published more than 20 cross-genre novels and novellas. Linsday currently lives in Seattle, working as both a professional blogger and fantasy author. Her blogs and online articles often centre on sharing information and experiences related to e-publishing.
Writing novels is her dream job. Apart from writing, Lindsay’s interests include her tennis, books and her two vizsla dogs.
