Moominpappa at Sea
Moominpappa had been feeling a little sad. Moomintroll was growing up now, and it seemed everything there was to be done had already been done, or was being done by someone else. The only thing to do was to make a fresh start.
Somewhere out at sea there was a tiny rocky island and a lighthouse, just waiting for him. There he'd be important, able to explain things to his family again, able to boast a bit.
The island is a mysterious, eerie place. Moominmamma's roses won't grow, the waves won't speak to Moominpappa, and there is an uneasy question at the back of their minds: where is the lighthouse-keeper?

These magical stories, complete with Jansson's trademark sepia watercolours and pen and ink illustrations, take readers into the fantasy world of Moominvalley, and introduce the Moomins, a family of friendly white trolls, as well as charming characters like Sniff, Snufkin, and Fillyjonk.
Perfect for middle-grade readers, the 'Moomin' books are classic stories from a by-gone era but will undoubtedly resonate just as strongly with children today as they have for the past seventy years.
